Chanel Haute Couture 2010: Marie Antionette meets the Future!

There is no way in the whole WORLD to decribe how much I LOVE this collection. I could just cry! This collection has a very rococo/ Marie Anionette, with the elements such as the candy colored palette and the intricate heels, to the sky high Marie Anotinette hair. But the hair is a bit familiar...

....In a good way of course :) The look above is by far my favourite of them all! Note the silver in the hair and the acessories...Karl Lagerfeld has made it certian that gold is old! It also adds a the futuristic look to it all while adding his signature gloves. Heres the latest take on the Chanel suit..my favourites of course :)

And then we had the silky and elegant togas?/dresses? Anyways..their gourgous and almost have an art deco feel.. not really?...maybe its just me.

These decadent frocks are the frosting on top of this lovely collection! Best Part!

Vintage Inspiration.

My style is often either futurisic and shapely,(shoulder pads, shine etc.)or very vintage and sweet. Im all about black tights with everything, and I've been wearing lots of muted tones and poofy skirts. This set reminds me of a daisy a bit..eh?

Alice in Wonderland by OPI

When I picked up this weeks issue of people magazine, I skipped right to the fashion section (however inticing Heidi Montag's new plastic surguries may have been). I was absolutley DELIGHTED to see that they had a beauty section for alice in wonderland makeup! Especially the OPI nailpolishes! The colors are just fabulous! And knowing me, a Tim Burton fanatic who loves beauty products, I went absolutley WILD!

The first nailpolish in the lineup (from the left), Is called "Off With her Red!" Its a very.....generic color. A clever title, but its just an orangey tomatoe red, similar to Essie's "Lollipop" shade from their Winter 2009 collection. I think Ill pass on that one...and same with the second red at the end called "Thanks So Muchness" It's very holiday-ish, probably much similar to something i've seen in OPI's holiday collection. Meh.

But I can't stop lusting over the two glitters! The blue color, called "Absolutley Alice" is just that. The blue is like the color of Alice's cute dress, and the gold flecks remind me of her hair...very detailed and clever! And Finally....The "Mad As a Hatter" shade, which is backed by silver glitter with flecks of every color of the rainbow! This is a lovely color and just imagine how well it would coordinate with so many outfits, and it adds a whimsical touch. I plan on buying either "Absolutley ALice" or "Mad As a Hatter" to add some Tim Burton to my everyday ensembles. YIPPEE!

Ive decided to start over...

Ok, here's the deal. I've changed ALOT since my last blog post. My old posts seem silly and immature.... SO I've decided to list some facts about my new self (not like anyone is reading this..)

I used to wear head-to-toe Juicy Couture and True Religion and all those labels that are popular with my age group. BUT I've come to realize that wasn't what I wanted. I secretly obsessed over Lady Gaga, Jeffree Star, Victoria Beckham and all of those plastic-perfection celebrities. I wanted to be different, like them, and wear clothes that reflected my own style, even if it meant wearing stilettos to school and getting called a whore. You know what? I don't wear fake eyelashes and heels to impress guys. OH HAAAIL NO! I dress the way i do because I like it. Originality saved my life!

Yes, I still admire harajuku girls, and I adore hello kitty and Jeffree star. But don't expect me to be dying my hair rainbow colors and dressing in plastic jewelry and poofy dresses. Note that I admire them, I don't want to BE them ;)

I shop at Forever 21 and H&M on a regular basis. So What? You cant tell, and you dont have to know that! heehee!

Well, I don't want to bore you with a post about little old moi, so LETS GET BLOGGING!
